Shakuntala Rangachari Sridharan Endowment Fund
Shakuntala Rangachari Sridharan [1942 – 78] was a Fulbright Scholar and taught history at Lady Shriram College, Delhi. After her marriage in 1972 she moved to Chennai. Over the next six years in Tabling she keenly empathised with the Seva Samajam Children’s Home, Pallipattu. A classroom was dedicated to her memory in 1979.
The above Endowment was created in 2012 with a contribution of Rs.5 lakhs by her husband D V Sridharan, a former Tabler of MRT1 [1972-82]. The Endowment was further increased by him to Rs.10 Lakhs in March, 2018.
The Shakuntala Rangachari Sridharan Endowment Fund started in 2012 awards assistance to a select number of boys and girls who choose to pursue higher studies.
MRT1 & The Seva Samajam Children’s School at Palipattu are grateful to Mr DV Shridharan for helping fulfill the dreams of pursuing their higher education.

The scholarship fund for deserving students at the MRT1 Lady Nye Special School is bolstered by a generous endowment from the Sacheti family. Mithun Sacheti, a square leg of Madras Round Table 1, maintains a close and ongoing relationship with the organization.
